At Global-MSI we design bespoke structures so whether you are looking for a standard structure or something eye-catching for your forecourt, Global-MSI can provide the solution.

The process begins with receipt of a drawing from the Client or Client’s representative. Our team of qualified and experienced structural engineers then analyse the project requirements and produce a tender design for our estimators to calculate the cost and issue a fixed-price quotation for the structure. If the requirement is for a building, rather than a canopy, then the quotation can include the price of the shopfront and other bought-in items such as external doors, roller shutters and special features such as brick slips or rainscreen cladding. If the Client requires solar panels on the structure, then the loadings for these can easily be calculated and allowed for within the quotation. Branding can also be supplied and installed by our Petrol Sign division.

When the project costs are approved, the next activity is to provide the Client with a set of structural calculations and general arrangement drawings. We appoint one of our experienced contracts managers who liaises with the Client and their team on all matters relating to the project. The contracts manager will agree a programme of works with the Client’s team and will produce the site specific safety documents to ensure full compliance with all regulations.

Once the structural design is completed, our team of dedicated draughtsmen will produce the detailed design, providing our production department with all the fabrication drawings required to order materials and manufacture the structure. The manufacturing process normally takes place one-two weeks before delivery to site, and Clients are welcome to visit our modern manufacturing facility to observe the manufacturing process of their structure.

With manufacturing complete and materials loaded, we transport the components to site anywhere in the UK where they are off-loaded, and installation commences. Typically, a canopy installation is completed within 5-7 days and a building within 2-4 weeks depending on its complexity. Our team of skilled site engineers, many of whom have been employed by the company for over 15 years, ensure the structure is completed to the very highest quality and safety standards.

If required by the Client, warranties can be provided. Global-MSI also offers a full service of maintenance, refurbishment, repair, and alteration for the long term life of the structure.
