Following reports in late 2020 that the forecourt canopy had deteriorated due to its proximity to the sea, a Global-MSI surveyor was called out to investigate. The surveyor determined that the original fascia supports had been replaced with non-standard items and at the time of the inspection, the perimeter branding and canopy fascias had been removed.
We were able to determine that the canopy was supplied in 1988 and that other elements of the canopy were weathering to the point where it was felt that full replacement of the structure was the best option. In just less than two weeks Global-MSI dismantled the original canopy structure and replaced it with a new, modern canopy capable of withstanding the marine conditions for many years to come.
